Jiffy Lube has been a trusted name in quick and reliable vehicle maintenance since its founding in 1979 by Jim Hindman. In fact, Jiffy Lube pioneered the entire Fast Lube industry. For the Blauvelt family, the journey began in 1980 when Pete Blauvelt became one of the first Jiffy Lube franchisees, bringing Jiffy Lube’s commitment to speed and convenience to local communities. Pete shared his Jiffy Lube knowledge with his children, Matt and Miles, at a young age and they grew up spending summers working for their father and learning every step of the business. Pete’s daughter, Molly, and her husband, Luke Reider, joined them to help support the business growth, continuing the family’s dedication to exceptional service. Throughout their journey, they have had tremendous support from a very experienced management and back-office team that still helps run the business today.
With over 95 years of combined experience, today, the Blauvelt Family owns and operates 13 Jiffy Lube service centers throughout the greater DC and Baltimore areas plus two in PA. They operate under the Blauvelt Group name.
